At Fibonacci Energy, we believe that every project tells a story. Some stories are about a family securing their home against outages; others are about a business taking control of its financial future. And some, like our recent project at Amada Farms in Marengo, tell the story of an entire community’s commitment to a sustainable future.
While technically our largest residential installation to date, the project at Amada Farms is a powerful case study in the future of agricultural energy. It represents a fusion of cutting-edge solar technology and a deep respect for the land—a partnership built on a shared vision for a healthier, more resilient Illinois.
A Farm That Nurtures the Land

Adama Farms is more than just a farm; it's a leader in the local food movement. Known for their "no-till, organic, and regenerative" farming practices, they are dedicated to improving soil health and providing their community with nutrient-dense food through their farm store and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program.
This commitment to sustainability is woven into everything they do. So when it came time to address their significant energy needs, they sought a solution that aligned with their core mission. They needed a system that could power their extensive operations—from their store to their CSA pickups—while honoring their promise to the environment.
The Challenge: Engineering a Landmark System
The scale of the Adama Farms project was immense. The goal was to build a system robust enough to offset a massive energy load, requiring a level of precision and planning typically reserved for large commercial sites. The installation had to be executed flawlessly, integrating seamlessly into a busy,
working farm without disrupting daily operations or the natural landscape.
The Fibonacci Solution: Precision, Power, and Progress
Our team rose to the challenge, designing and engineering one of the most significant solar arrays in the region. The work involved:
+150 Solar Panels: A massive ground-mounted array was meticulously planned and installed to capture maximum sunlight throughout the year, generating a huge amount of clean energy.
Nearly 500 Feet of Directional Boring: To preserve the integrity of the farm's fields and maintain its aesthetic beauty, our crew used advanced directional boring techniques. This allowed us to run all necessary electrical conduits deep underground, leaving the pastures and operational areas completely untouched.
The Right Tools for the Job: A project of this magnitude requires not just expertise, but specialized equipment. To run hundreds of feet of heavy-gauge wire efficiently and safely, our crew utilized tools like the Milwaukee Tool Maxis 3k cable puller, ensuring a smooth, reliable, and professional installation from start to finish
Every project we take on is about more than just solar—it’s about precision, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to getting the job done right. The work at Adama Farms showcases this philosophy on a grand scale. Each panel, every connection, and all the unseen underground work was completed with the craftsmanship and durability that defines Fibonacci Energy.
Strong Partnerships, Groundbreaking Results
Meet Alex Warpinski, Midwest Regional Sales Manager at SunModo, and a key contributor to the success of our recent residential solar project in Marengo, Illinois—currently the largest of its kind in the state.
Al played an essential role by offering expert support and product guidance as our team implemented one of SunModo’s new innovative ground mount systems. His knowledge and dedication helped ensure that this large-scale install was not only efficient but built to last.
At Fibonacci Energy, we believe strong partnerships are the foundation of exceptional outcomes. Collaborations with professionals like Al—and companies like SunModo—are what allow us to continue raising the bar in solar innovation.

A Partnership in Regenerative Energy
This project is a powerful example of how modern agriculture and renewable energy can work hand-in-hand. By harnessing the power of the sun, Adama Farms is now able to power its regenerative practices with a truly regenerative energy source. It closes the loop on sustainability, creating a model for farms across the Midwest.
We are incredibly proud to have partnered with an organization that shares our values of community, integrity, and long-term thinking. The Amada Farms installation is more than just poles and panels; it’s a landmark project that proves what’s possible when innovation meets a deep-seated respect for the land.
